I would like to ask if this translation plug-in saves the translated articles on your server or on the server of its own independent website?
The translations are stored in your WordPress database but also, if you translate automatically, we store the translation in our cloud to benefit from the so-called Translation Memory (this prevent from using translation credits again when translating the same content).
Can automatic translation also be stored in the website server?
Yes, once the automatic translation is finished and save, it is stores in your website database.
After purchasing your package, on how many websites have you added the plugin and used translation?
Hello,
the Multilingual CMS package allows you to use WPML on 3 production sites. For testing, you can also use it on additional 9 websites. Testing websites will show a WPML banner in the footer.
Does the most expensive package include unlimited websites?
Hello,
Yes, with the Multilingual Agency package you can use WPML plugins on an unlimited number of websites for as many clients as you wish.
Please note that to translate automatically, you need to use translation credits. The Agency package includes 180,000 translation credits. If you run out of credits, you will need to buy extra credits. This page explains your options.
Can this plugin be purchased outright?
This plugin can be purchased from this page: https://wpml.org/purchase/ (or its translations, for example for https://wpml.org/zh-hans/purchase/)
You can pay be credit card or by PayPal.
How this plugin is a one-time purchase permanently
If you don’t turn off automatic renewals, your subscription will be automatically renewed after the first year with a 25% discount. But renewals are optional and your plugin will still work even if you don’t renew. This page explains how you can turn off the automatic renewals.
Can I directly buy out the Multilingual Agency package ? and I can use it without time limit
Hello,
Yes, the Multilingual Agency package allows you to use WPML plugin on as many websites as you want (you can register an unlimited number of websites with the Multilingual Agency). You have to buy WPML from the purchase page where you can pay with your credit card or PayPal.
Hello, in some special cases where the same page needs to display two different languages, or where certain content needs to remain in its original language, how does WPML address this?
How are subdomains calculated? Do they count as two separate websites?
Thank you.
WPML allows you to display two different versions of the same page, please check this page for details:
https://wpml.org/documentation/translating-your-contents/using-different-translation-editors-for-different-pages/
WPML allows you to leave some of your pages untranslated too. For this, please don’t select “Translate everything automatically” but “Let me choose what to translate” mode.
Subdomains are treated as one site in terms of license keys.
Can your automatic translation be used with the WPGlobus plugin to achieve automatic translation?
Hello,
WPML shouldn’t be used with other Multilingual plugins, WPGlobus including. This can lead to unexpected and difficult to track conflicts.
Hi,
We have a question to consult. We want to design a comparison page for Avada theme through custom coding (plug-in form).
In this case, can WPML translate this page into any language we want?
Hello,
WPML can translate text strings coming from custom coding provided you gettext calls correctly. Please check the details here. These strings will appear in the String Translation panel of WPML and you can translate them.
How to create and log in to an account,
Does not logging in affect my purchase and use?
Your WPML account will be created automatically as soon as your order is complete. In other words, as you don’t create your account, you have to buy WPML and the account will be created after your order is finalised. You will receive an email with the login credential soon after completing your purchase, so please be careful and don’t make any typo when inserting your email address.
Do you offer a free trial period for your plugin? We would like to know how we can determine if it meets our needs. Additionally, could you explain the difference between 90,000 translation credits and 180,000 translation credits? Generally speaking, is the former sufficient for typical use?
Hello,
I’m sorry by we don’t have a free trial period. It’s better to buy the CMS package with 90,000 translation credits and then use the Pay as You Go option to buy additional credits. Please use this calculator to see how much you would pay for the extra credits: https://wpml.org/documentation/automatic-translation/automatic-translation-pricing/#simulate-your-translation-price
If I uninstall this plugin in the future, will the previously translated content disappear?
Hello Yolanda,
If you uninstall WPML then yes, it will remove all the content
https://wpml.org/documentation/getting-started-guide/language-setup/deleting-languages-and-plugin-data-by-doing-a-wpml-reset-on-your-site/#step-3-do-the-wpml-reset
My colleague and I have created two WordPress on the same siteground.
I want to test your plugin on WordPress2 first.
If I decide to officially use it, can I use it on WordPress1 as well?
In other words, for two WordPress on the same siteground, do I need to pay one or two fees?
Hello Yolanda,
When you buy the Multilingual CMS package you can use WPML on 3 websites, so no need to buy any extra WPML package. Actually, you can use WPML even on 9 additional sites, if you registered them as development sites. So no need to be worried about. Only one WPML license is needed.
If you planned to buy the Multilingual Blog package, you can register WPML only on one production site and on 2 testing sites. When registering your sites, WPML will ask you if a site is a production or development site. The only difference is that the development site will have a small banner added to your site’s footer that reads: “It’s a development site”.
Is the automatic translation done through Google Translate?
If we need to translate a part manually, is that ok?
You have the following translation engines to choose from:
1. DeepL
2. Google Translate
3. Microsoft
4. WPML AI (beta) – based on the same technology as ChatGPT
Not all languages are supported, this list will help you see which ones are supported:
https://ate.wpml.org/mt_langs
1. Could you please open our website interface? Can you estimate how many points are needed to translate one language?
2. How to translate the navigation bar and footer?
Hello,
this credit calculator will help:
https://wpml.org/documentation/automatic-translation/automatic-translation-pricing/#simulate-your-translation-price
You know your site better so please estimate how many words you have for page, multiply it by the number of your pages and put this number into that calculator. Also change the number of languages to 1 (the default is 2).
If your footer includes a navigation (a menu), you translate the menu in the WPML Menu translation panel. Otherwise you can use the WPML String Translation panel to translate some of your footer text stings.
Navigation bars are translated in the WPML Menu translation panel as described here: https://wpml.org/documentation/getting-started-guide/translating-menus/
How to remove the website
This page explains all the details: https://wpml.org/documentation/getting-started-guide/language-setup/deleting-languages-and-plugin-data-by-doing-a-wpml-reset-on-your-site/
