[Geschlossen] Problem with widgets

Hi,

Since a recent WPML update we’re seeing a change in widget behavior.

We have a homepage widget containing text that is set to display only on specific languages. WPML correctly filters the content based on language, but the widget wrapper HTML is still rendered, even when there is no visible content for the current language. This results in empty markup being output.

Previously, when a widget had no content for the active language, the widget (including its wrapper) was not rendered at all. This now seems to have changed and looks like a regression.

I already tried reporting this earlier, but the chat connection was interrupted.

Is this a known issue, and is there a recommended fix or workaround?
