Background of the issue:
I am trying to fix a problem with the language switcher on my website. When I change the main page's language to English, it redirects to the news page instead of the expected English version of the main page. The issue can be seen at versteckter Link.

Symptoms:
When I change the language to English, the site redirects from versteckter Link to versteckter Link instead of versteckter Link.
