We used the Query Monitor plugin and found that WPML is triggering over 2500+ queries, primarily from WPML_Translations->get_translations and WPML_Element_Translation->maybe_populate_cache. Symptoms: Both the Products > Categories page and the Edit Category view are extremely slow to load due to WPML triggering over 2500+ queries. Questions: Why is WPML generating so many queries? Is there a way to optimize or prevent this?
