Visibility – Category SEO Fields Are Not Translated When the Category Is Translated with a Post

Overview of the Issue

When you use WPML with Visibility (opens in a new tab) and translate a post, WPML also translates its new categories in the same job. The translated category does not get the Visibility SEO title and description of the original category. Its robots settings are copied.

A category that you send to translation on its own keeps its SEO fields.

Workaround

• Go to Posts → Categories and switch to the secondary language in the admin bar.
• Edit the translated category.
• Enter its SEO title and description in the Visibility section, and save.
