To reduce the waiting time, I took this ticket and responded in English. Please let me know if you're okay with it or if you want to continue the conversation in Spanish language. I will check and forward this ticket to one of our Spanish-speaking supporters to assist you in the Spanish language.
I reviewed the page and confirmed that the English version has the correct SEO information, including Canonical and Hreflang tags. Therefore, the Crawler shouldn't flag them. Additionally, no redirects have been set. It’s possible that the sitemap was submitted before activating the WPML SEO plugin, which may have caused the issue.
Could you please regenrate the sitemap again and then submit it to the Google Crawler? Here's how you can do that.
- Make sure to keep the WPML SEO plugin active.
- Please go to Rank Math SEO > Dashboard
- Scroll down and disable the Sitemap option.
- Once done, clear the site and browser caches.
- Enable the Sitemap option again.
- Copy the Sitemap URL and submit it to Google Crawler.
Please give it a try and let me know how it goes. I'll be happy to help if you need futher assistance in this matter.
We have followed your steps but nothing seems to have changed with the original sitemap. I attach the result of these steps, to check if it is well done.
enlace oculto
We observe that in the post the spanish version ones appear, but the only one we have in english does not appear in the sitemap. enlace oculto
We are waiting for your answer, as it is a serious issue for our business.
I have rechecked one of the urls of a Spanish entry that was ranked. It indicates that it is not indexed. But then in indexing it says that ‘Declared by the user as canonical enlace oculto when we have not done this
I reviewed the sitemap and can confirm that the link you shared is present. You can see it in this screenshot: enlace oculto.
Now, let's stay focused on resolving the issue with the page being deindexed by Google Crawler. From the WPML Debug info, I noticed that the Browser Language Redirect option is enabled in WPML > Languages. Please be aware that enabling this option can impact Google indexing. The crawler bot may interpret the links as redirects, which could result in the page being flagged and not indexed. Please refer to the guide below to understand how Google indexing can be affected by using the Browser Language Redirect option.
Since the pages are flagged as redirects, it would be advisable to disable the Browser Language Redirect option and then resubmit the pages for a recrawl. I hope you'll not encounter any issues after that.
Feel free to let me know if you need further assistance or clarification in this matter. I will be happy to help.
We have deactivated the redirection as you said, because it is possible that this is why we have the problem. We have also seen that in the sitemap of pages are the English ones, but in the sitemap of posts are not found the entries in English.
Hi There,
I hope you're doing well. Sorry for the delay in responding due to the weekend.
Thank you for disabling the browser language redirection options. Hopefully, this will prevent the errors from appearing again in the Search Console.
Regarding the missing English post from the sitemap, issues like this often occur when the page or post is not translated. Since you've translated the post into English, refreshing the language information and regenerating the sitemap might resolve the issue. Here are the steps to follow:
1. Go to WPML > Support > Troubleshooting.
2. Click on the following buttons:
- Synchronize posts taxonomies (select 'Posts' from the dropdown first, then click the button)
- Clear the cache in WPML
- Remove ghost entries from the translation tables
- Assign translation status to duplicated content
- Set language information
- Fix post type assignment for translations
3. Once done, regenerate the sitemap by following the instructions on this reply.
4. Submit the sitemap to Google Search Console and verify if the English posts appear there.
I hope it will help. Please feel free to let me know if you need further assistance in this matter. I will be happy to help.
I carefully reviewed the meta information attached to the post and can confirm that it is configured correctly. Since the post is still not appearing in the sitemap, there might be an issue with the RankMath Sitemap. Could you please follow these steps and check if they bring any changes?
1. Flush the Sitemap cache by following this video screencast: enlace oculto
2. Exclude the Sitemap files of the Rank Math plugin in your caching plugin. The cache could be via a plugin or from the server. For plugins or Cloudflare, please follow this article: enlace oculto
These steps usually help to solve issues with missing pages/posts in the sitemap. Please let me know how it goes. I will be happy to help if you need further assistance in this matter.
Best regards,
Prosenjit
