We use WMPL on a customer site.
Until recently, this was running on one domain.
For SEO reasons we want to switch to "Different language per domain".
For this I created a test environment & pointed another domain to it via DNS.
I have worked according to these instructions:

The switch between the languages works well so far, also different sitemaps were created.
Now to the problem:
The switch from main site DE>EN runs without problems.
Only when switching from EN>DE a very long URL tail is appended.
