Problem:
I turn off the WPML's translation editor because i want to edit my elementro pages manually. However i tranlsat them on my second language. Then when i go to string transaltion if i trnalste a single string that appear on any given page. the entire page resets to english (my first language). and all manual tranlsation is lost
Solution:
If you're translating the page using "Advanced Translation Editor", it will only affect the texts(strings) and it will not change any layout that is on the page.
Usually, if you translate a page, the layouts will be copied over also. You can use the "Advanced Translation Editor" to translate the contents.
Then, if you want to adjust the stylings, select the language using the language switcher in the top admin bar and then, edit the page using the Elementor page builder.
Once you've adjusted the layouts, save the changes.
