Background of the issue:
I am trying to fix a problem with the language switcher on my website. When I change the main page's language to English, it redirects to the news page instead of the expected English version of the main page. The issue can be seen at link nascosto.

Symptoms:
When I change the language to English, the site redirects from link nascosto to link nascosto instead of link nascosto.

Questions:
Why does the language switcher redirect to the news page instead of the English main page?
How can I configure the language switcher to redirect correctly?
