Problem:
The client is unable to access the WPML configuration tab on their website, receiving an error message: 'Sorry, you are not allowed to access this page.'
Solution:
If you're experiencing this issue, we recommend you try the following steps:
1. Add the following code to your active theme's functions.php file:

function wpmlsupp_1706_reset_wpml_capabilities() {<br />    if (function_exists('icl_enable_capabilities')) {<br />        icl_enable_capabilities();<br />    }<br />}<br />add_action('shutdown', 'wpmlsupp_1706_reset_wpml_capabilities');

2. Open a page in the back and/or front-end once.
3. Remove the code which was added in step #1.

If the issue persists, please provide temporary access (WP-Admin and FTP Login info) to your site (preferably staging site), so that we can look into your setup and debug the issue. Ensure you back up your database and website before making these changes. We may need your permission to deactivate and reactivate plugins and the theme, and to change configurations on the site.
