Contexte de la question:
My site is almost ready to be launched but I have several problems with the WPML translation. The default language is French, and I have set up a filter by 'Product Categories' in the store. I have translated all categories and sub-categories in WPML backoffice. I followed the basic WPML documentation to translate the site and contacted the support of my Elessi theme before for these problems who told me to contact your support.
Symptômes:
In the store, product categories don't appear in other languages (Spanish, English, Portuguese, and Japanese), only the category title appears. Clicking on a category shows a 'no category' message. The translation of the 'Product categories' filter in the backoffice doesn't seem to take place automatically. The title of theme badges 'out of stock' and 'featured' is incorrectly translated.
Questions:
Why don't the product categories appear in other languages in the store?
Before this thread is assigned to my colleague, I'd like to offer some initial guidance and potential solutions.
I'm aware of a similar report with the 'Elessi' theme, where the category problem was resolved by adjusting the category order in the Shop Sidebar widget to "Name." You can find the detailed solution in the ticket below.
This problem is solved. In fact, changing the "Category order: by name" brought up the menu containing the list of categories. Thanks for your help. I only have 2 more problems to solve 🙂 Thanks again
