Background of the issue:
I am working on a WordPress site using the WPML plugin to manage multiple English language versions (en_us, en_gb, en_za, en_au). Due to maintenance difficulties and SEO issues, I plan to hide certain languages from the front-end while still needing access to their data within templates and a custom plugin for backend processes.

Symptoms:
The site currently displays multiple English languages, causing maintenance and SEO challenges. I need to hide these languages from the front-end but maintain access to their data for backend use.

Questions:
How can I hide specific languages on the front-end, ensuring their URLs return a 404 error, and remove them from hreflang tags and sitemaps, while still being able to access and edit their posts and ACF fields in the WordPress backend?
Is it possible to maintain backend access to the data of hidden languages for use in templates and custom plugins, despite them being invisible on the front-end?
