[Gelöst] How do you add html-markers to translated text

How do you add html-markers to translated text, if it's needed in the target language, but is not present in the source language? For example, a foreign word needs to be written in italics in French, but in English, it isn't a foreign word, so it's written without italics. Is there a way to accommodate this in WPML?
