Buongiorno,
To reduce the waiting time, I took this ticket and responded in English. Please let me know if you're okay with it or want to continue the conversation in Italian language. I will check and forward the ticket to one of our Italian supporters to assist you in the Italian language.
I understand what you're looking for. If you have synchronized the menu to create the translated menu, you can now go to "WPML > String Translation" and search for the menu item name (Prodotti). If it appears in the results, add the translation by clicking the "+" icon below the language flag. You can also search for the button name in the String Translation and translate it in the same way.
Regarding the query about adding a language switcher to the mobile menu: from WPML > Languages > Menu Language Switcher section, you can add a language switcher to any of your menus. Please check this guide for more details.
Additionally, using the wpml_language_switcher shortcode, you can place a language switcher anywhere you want.
I hope the information above helps. If there is anything else if you need help with, please let me know. I will be happy to help.
Glad to hear that one of the issues has been resolved.
If the menu item name is translated using String Translation, it should appear correctly on the frontend. However, since you've synchronized the menu, Would you please go to "Appearance > Menus" in your Dashboard, switch to the English language, and try to update the name of the menu item from there? You can translate menu items either through String Translation or manually.
Please let me know how it goes. I'll be happy to help if you need further assistance in this matter.
Hi There,
Thank you for the update. No problem with the delay at all!
From the screenshot, I can see that there is no menu in the English language, which means the menu hasn't been translated yet. Please follow the instructions outlined in this guide to translate or synchronize the menu into English. Once completed, you will see the menu in the backend when you switch languages and be able to change the menu item name as per your needs.
You might be wondering how the menu was showing as translated in the frontend if the menu is not translated. This is due to how WPML handles links in other languages. If you have included pages in the menu and translated those pages into other languages, WPML will automatically adjust the page names and links in the frontend for those languages. So, even if you don't translate the menu itself but only translate the pages added to the menu, the menu section will still appear translated in other languages.
I hope this clarifies things. Please feel free to let me know if you need further assistance or clarification on any specific point. I'll be happy to help.
Best regards,
Prosenjit
