Hello

I duplicated a site with Wp-Staging Pro the German site in order to set up the same site for a different country which must be translated into French and Arabic. However since I cannot separate the two accounts on WPML so that it is independent. So I tried disabling WPML, re-enabled it and added a new license key. But now I can no longer activate the new license key which shows me this notification: Unable to parse data from service response

I did the tests and everything seems ok. Do you have to completely uninstall the WPML plugins (without risk of losing the translations already made) or is there a specific procedure?

Looking forward to your return.

Y a-t-il un exemple similaire que nous pouvons examiner ? lien caché a été dupliqué sur lien caché. Comment faire pour utiliser wpml sans problème sur mes deux sites ?

Quel est le lien vers votre site ? lien caché

Hi there

From your question I assume you are okay discussing this in English. (We have a busy queue at the moment and I'm stepping in here to help, but if you need to speak with someone in French I can return this to the queue for a French-speaking supporter when they are available.)

I understand you have copied a site to a new URL where you will update/translate the content so that it is available in different languages. The sites are independent of each other, and it is not your intention to have this be a single site with different languages at different domains.

In which case I would expect you to unregister WPML on the new site (from the Commercial tab of the Add New plugins page, i.e. at wp-admin/plugin-install.php?tab=commercial).

You should then be able to click the resulting link to register the site and click the link "Get a key for this site" to have the correct site key automatically created for this URL from your account page at wpml.org.

If that doesn't work, can you go to the installer support page (via WPML > Support > Installer support) and run the Check.

Does it show any errors? Can you share details with me?

(Note, if on the original site you edited wp-config.php to add the site key there you will need to remove that on this copy.)

Hello Nigel

I followed the process (disconnection, reconnection, generation of new API key) then checked the errors (none) but I still have the same problem. "This site has been moved to a new location
You or someone else moved this site to lien caché. Please note that :

Translations you make on lien caché will not appear on this site.
You cannot edit translations on this site.

The site at lien caché uses the same credits for machine translation as this site.

If you did not want to move this site to lien caché, you can indicate that this site should be on lien caché."

How to send you admin / ftp informations please so you can see where the problem is coming from?

Best regards

Chris

Hi Chris

Can you please clarify which url was the original site, and which is the url you copied the site to.

I had understood from your original question that you had started at xxx.ch and moved it to xxx.ma, but from the message you just shared it appears that:

1. the original url was xxx.ma
2. the new url is xxx.ch/devsite
3. when opening the site at the new url you would have been shown a dialog that asked if this new site was a copy of the original site or if the site had moved to this new url, and you chose "moved".

Now when you visit the original site at xxx.ma you get the message to say the site has moved to xxx.ch/devsite.

Do I understand correctly?

In which case you should click the link "If you did not want to move this site to lien caché, you can indicate that this site should be on lien caché" so that your original site will work as before.

But then I need access to your .ch/devsite to correct something in the database directly to be able to disconnect it.

Let me set a private reply to get credentials from you for that site.

Sorry, I'm still not clear on this.

Which site was the original site that you created a copy from?

And can I also get access to the .ma site so that I can check things there?

I'll set up a new private reply for that site.

OK, thank you.

I have made some direct interventions in the database to disconnect the .ma site from the .ch site.

You will need to re-register WPML on the .ma site, though, adding the site key.

You may want to consider connecting the sites to share credits etc., even though they are independent sites. You can read more about that here:
