Problem: The client has three languages on their site: Simplified Chinese (SC), Traditional Chinese (TC), and English. They are experiencing an issue where both Chinese languages are displayed as "Chinese, Cantonese" in the Advanced Translation Editor (ATE). Additionally, when translating content from SC to TC, some words are either automatically translated or displayed as [in progress] in the TC ATE. Solution: We noticed that the client is using the DeepL translation engine, which does not support translating content to Chinese Traditional (TC). We recommended switching to the Microsoft translation engine and re-mapping the language on the site to match the supported languages. We provided documentation to assist with this process:
We also informed the client that we have fixed the issue on their site and advised them to try translating content again using the Advanced Translation Editor.
