Hi There, To reduce the waiting time, I took this ticket and responded in English. Please let me know if you're okay with it or want to continue the conversation in Spanish language. I will check and forward this ticket to one of our Spanish-speaking support to assist you further in Spanish language. I understand the issue you're having. If you're trying to insert a space between paragraphs by pressing the "ENTER" button, it's normal not to see these spaces reflected on the frontend. This is because simply pressing "ENTER" doesn't register as a paragraph break. Instead, given that you're utilizing the Classic Translation Editor for translations, switch to the "Text" mode and insert a break tag (`<br>`) at the desired locations to introduce spaces between paragraphs. You can refer to this example in the screenshot here: enlace oculto. I hope it will help. Please feel free to let me know if you need further assistance in this matter. I will be happy to help. Best regards, |

Hello. I have always pressed enter to have a new paragraph, and it works like that on other sites. I have never needed to put a <br> there. In the example i gave, i just pushed 2 times enter because i wanted to make the space bigger, but that's not the problem. Even if i go to the visual tab and add a normal paragraph brake (enter), all the text will be in one paragraph. It works for some reason on other sites. I didn't do any significant change on the site that would affect this. Screenshots as a proof. |

Hi There, Indeed, pressing enter after a paragraph does result in the next paragraph appearing on a new line in the frontend, which can also be achieved by entering the Break tag(</br>). However, following your directions, I removed a word from the paragraph and updated the translation accordingly. I can verify that the paragraphs continue to display correctly with the intended breaks. I haven't observed the issue you mentioned. Based on your indication that there might be a bug, I'd be grateful if you could outline the specific steps to reproduce the issue. If you can detail the exact process you used, I'll be able to replicate it in my development environment and proceed with the necessary actions. If required, I will escalate it to the 2nd tier team for further investigation. Additionally, a video about the problem or demonstrates how to replicate it would be extremely helpful in this case. Looking forward to your response and we are always here to help. Best regards, |

ok, i repeat: 1: i did change one typo on the box There is nothing else I did to accomplish the buggy page. It was ok before. Even if i remove the text from the box and on the text tab i write: paragraph" it will display as: Even if i check from the visual tab that it should display as different paragraphs. |

Hi There, It seems a closer inspection will be required to understand the root cause of the issue. I would like to request temporary access (wp-admin and FTP) to your site along with the link to the page/post where the issue occured to take a better look at the issue. It would be better to have a testing site where the issue is replicated. You will find the needed fields below the comment area when you log in to leave your next reply. The information you will enter is private which means only you and I can see and have access to it. Maybe I'll need to replicate your site locally. For this, I’ll need to temporarily install a plugin called “Duplicator” or "All in One WP Migration" on your site. This will allow me to create a copy of your site and your content. Once the problem is resolved I will delete the local site. Let me know if this is ok with you. IMPORTANT Looking forward to your response. Best Regards, |

Hello There, From the Classic Translation Editor, I switched to the HTML view for the default content and noticed that Paragraph and Break Tags are present for the default content. However, these tags are being stripped out in the translation. Refer to this screenshot for clarity: enlace oculto. This stripping of tags is why the text appears as a single block without any paragraph breaks on the front end. From the nature of the issue, it appears to be similar to a previous one we've dealt with. For more details, please refer to this Errata page: https://wpml.org/errata/visual-text-toggle-removes-paragraph-tags-on-translations-and-shows-on-one-line/. As outlined in the Errata, we highly recommend switching to the Advanced Translation Editor for translating your content, as it maintains the original formatting. However, if you prefer to continue using the Classic Translation Editor, you should add the code specified in the Errata to your theme's functions.php file. Following this, make a minor edit to the default page, save your changes, and then update the translation. Within the translation editor, you can manually insert line breaks in the translated paragraphs as needed by pressing the "Enter" key. After doing this, save the changed and check the front end. The line breaks should be displayed correctly. Let me know how it goes. I will be happy to help if you need further assistance in this matter. Best regards, |

Well, this kind of works. I still hope this bug would be resolved some day. I would rather not switch to the advanced translator instead of the classic one. So, this code makes all the text boxes without formatting (without paragraph breaks) Let's assume i have a site of 20 articles and i need to change 25% of them, they all have 20 subtitles (20 different text edit boxes) and all of them have 5 paragraphs, it makes already 500 paragraph breraks i need to re-add. Sounds like a lot of work. |

Ok, i tried switching to the advanced translation editor. It shows everything untranslated there, even if i have translated them before... why? For now i will leave the part of the page without paragraph breaks, waiting for a fix for that bug. |

Hi There, I apologize for any issues the code may have caused. The problem mentioned in the Errata has been resolved in WPML version 4.5.9 and since you're using an updated version, that specific problem should not arise. Despite this, since the issue persists, I thought it would be helpful to check if the previously suggested workaround is still effective. However, while checking the development tickets, there's an unresolved issue related to the Classic translation editor, which might be relevant to your situation. Please check this Errata for more information: https://wpml.org/errata/classic-translation-editor-removes-line-breaks/ You can also use that workaround till we release an update with the fix for this issue. Regarding the issue of viewing translations within the Advanced Translation Editor - When translations are made using the Classic Translation Editor, they won't appear in the Advanced Translation Editor. This is because WPML's Translation Memory isn't shared between the two editors. Therefore, if you switch editors, you won't see previously added translations in the new editor. You will need to add the translation again using the Advanced translation editor. I hope you can understand. Please feel free to let me know if you need further assistance in this matter. I will be happy to help. Best regards, |
