Elementor Custom Widgets
All issues in which we had to help clients with Elementor Custom Widgets either because they wanted to create one, or (more likely) when related to themes that have Elementor Custom Widgets integrated. Add whether you helped, sent to docs or escalated.
Problem: Der Kunde hat Probleme mit der Übersetzung von Elementor Widgets im Footer seiner Website. Speziell gibt es keine Funktion "WPML: Elementor Widgets" für das Bildergalerie-Widget auf der Seite. Solution: 1. Für die Custom XML Widgets des Themes muss eine eigene Config angelegt werden. Dies macht das Elementor Widget im Translation Editor sichtbar und übersetzbar. Problem: The client was unable to find and translate a specific string in the header of their website using WPML. Solution: 1. To make the custom Marquee Elementor element compatible with the WPML Translation Editor, we added the following XML configuration in WPML >> Settings > Custom XML Configuration section:
After this, we made a small change in the default language header template and translated the header in the secondary language. This made the marquee element content available for translation. 2. For translating the 'Donation' text, we followed these steps: - Navigated to WPML >> String Translation page. - Clicked on the 'Translate texts in the admin screen' link at the bottom of the page. - Searched for the string and enabled its translation. - Assigned the correct source language and added the translation of that string. - Cleared the cache to reflect the updated translation. Problem: The client is developing a site and is unable to translate the Home, Services, and Contact pages using WPML, specifically the Services module in WordPress. Solution: We recommend the following steps to make the Home, Contact, and Services page custom Elementor elements compatible with the WPML Translation Editor: 1. Open the default language page in Edit mode, make a small change in the page title, press the update button to reload the translation, then remove the small change and press the Update button again. 3. Click on the secondary language icon to open up the page in WPML Translation Editor and verify if the content appears for translation. 4. For the Services page missing images issue, go to WPML >> Settings > Custom Fields translation section, click on the “Show System fields” link, set “_cmb_service_description” field to Translate, _cmb_service_icon_image, and _cmb_service_image_01 to Copy, and press the save button. Re-save the default language Services posts.

Problem: If you're experiencing issues with translating individual words in the Animated Headline Widget from Elementor using WPML, where the plugin treats all the words as one long sentence instead of recognizing them as individual strings, resulting in the translated version displaying all the words together rather than rotating them. Problem: The client has translated two Elementor templates and single product extra content added through a WordPress widget, but they are not working. Solution: We added the following code to WPML-> Settings-> Custom XML tab to register the widget for translation:
