I’m currently working on a German website that is translated into Spanish using WPML.
I need to link specific image elements to the Spanish version of the site, so that the Spanish pages display different images than the German original. To achieve this, I used the WPML Media Translation feature and replaced the image for the Spanish language.
However, although the image replacement appears correctly in the Media Translation interface, the change is not reflected on the frontend page.
Details:
Original language: German
Translated language: Spanish
Image replacement was done via: WPML → Media Translation
The issue can be seen on this page: versteckter Link
Expected behavior:
The Spanish version of the page should display the Spanish image version instead of the original one.
Current behavior:
The page still shows the image versteckter Link
even though a different image is assigned for Spanish in Media Translation.
Question:
Is there an additional step required to ensure that media translations are applied on the frontend
Any guidance on how to properly replace language-specific images so they appear correctly on translated pages would be greatly appreciated.
