Getting started with České překlady and WPML

To send content for translation to České překlady, install the following plugins on your website:

  • WPML Multilingual CMS – the core plugin
  • WPML String Translation – this plugin will allow you to translate interface strings

You can download them from your wpml.org account. If you do not have an account yet, you can create a new one by choosing WPML Multilingual CMS or Multilingual Agency plans.

Working with České překlady via WPML

Here are the basic steps of working with WPML and České překlady. For a full walkthrough, check out our page about using WPML with a translation service.

Connecting Your Website to České překlady

First, you need to connect WPML with České překlady. Part of this very simple process is to request your České překlady API token.

To get this token, visit České překlady’s WPML Token Page or you can request it directly by sending an email to zakazky@ceskepreklady.cz. Its project managers will be happy to help and will generate the token for you.

Sending content for translation

Once your site is connected to České překlady, you can start sending your content for translation.

Receive a quotation from České překlady

České překlady will get automatically notified about your request.

As soon as they receive the content for translation, they will get back to you via email with a detailed quotation, to discuss details and confirm the final price.

Once you accept the quote, translation work will commence.

Receiving completed translations

Unless otherwise agreed beforehand,  České překlady will deliver the completed translation to your WPML administration. Depending on your WPML settings, the translation can either be published directly or stay as a draft in your administration for you to first make any adjustments should you so wish.

Once done, your site is ready to receive completed translations.

Canceling translation jobs

Jobs can only be canceled by České překlady.

Should you wish to cancel, for any reason, the translation of content sent from WPML to České překlady, please bear in mind that:

  1. You cannot manually delete or cancel translation jobs from the Translation jobs panel
  2. The project can only be deleted by České překlady. Please, contact České překlady’s project managers at zakazky@ceskepreklady.cz as soon as possible directly to carry out this operation.

Translating the Rest of Your Site

Once you’re done translating the content of your page, there could be untranslated texts in menus, sidebars, and similar places. No problem, you can use České překlady to translate the rest of your site.
