I am trying to switch the language of a page on my site enlace oculto. The new page is set to Spanish language but its content is in Catalan. I need to edit the settings of the given page.

The issue here is that we currently have an existing translation (gear icon for now) that we need to save (so that we see a pencil edit icon instead of a gear icon). Then, we can switch to that other language from the top black bar (while in the backend). Go to that page, hover the mouse over it, select the first "Edit" link, and on the right, select "This is a translation of [NONE]."
This will disconnect it as a translation.
After that, if you switch the language back to the default one and edit that page, you should be able to change the default language for that page.
