Dieses Thema ist gelöst. Hier finden Sie eine Beschreibung des Problems und der Lösung.

Problem:
In WPML String Translation, translated strings randomly swap their language assignments between German and English. This issue appears to occur after saving or editing other strings.
Solution:
If you're experiencing this issue, we recommend changing the source language of the strings. This behavior might occur if a theme or plugin was developed in a language other than English, or depending on the backend language active when the string was registered. You can change the source language by following the instructions here: How to Change the Source Language of Strings.

Please note that this solution might be irrelevant if it's outdated or not applicable to your case. We highly recommend checking related known issues at https://wpml.org/known-issues/, verifying the version of the permanent fix, and confirming that you have installed the latest versions of themes and plugins. If the issue persists, please open a new support ticket at WPML support forum for further assistance.

In WPML String Translation, translated strings randomly swap their language assignments. The German translation ends up in the English field and vice versa. This happens repeatedly for the same strings (domain: iprot-docs, DE/EN setup). No pattern found – seems to occur after saving or editing other strings.

WordPress 6.x, WPML latest version, German as default language.

Hi,

you can change the source language using this button: https://wpml.org/documentation/getting-started-guide/string-translation/how-to-change-the-source-language-of-strings/.

This behavior occurs when a theme or plugin was originally developed in a language other than English. In such cases, the source language of the strings may appear incorrect in String Translation. It can also depend on the backend language that was active when the string was registered.

Best regards,
Marcel

Basically, the problem appears randomly. And it's not my biggest issue. I have much more troubles with my other open ticket where I haven't received any response yet. Would be great if you could have a look!
