Problem:

The client is unable to access the WPML -> Translation Management feature in WPML, encountering a 404 Not Found error when trying to access /wp-admin/tm/menu/main.php. Despite updating WPML to version 4.7.4 and trying various suggested workarounds, the issue persists.

Solution:

We recommend checking if any Role Editor plugin is active, as it might interfere with access permissions. Ensure that all plugins and WordPress are up to date. If the problem continues, try the workaround suggested in the following errata and support ticket after a full site backup (mandatory):

Additionally, delete the

WPML(setup)

option from the

wp_options

table in your database after ensuring a full site backup. This can be done using tools like PHPMyAdmin or the Adminer plugin.
