franziskaS-9	Unsere Website versteckter Link wurde ursprünglich durch eine Agentur erstellt, wobei WPML installiert und genutzt wurde. Nun haben wir eine neue Lizenz abgeschlossen (Kauf Abgeschlossen im Juni 2023, Username: franziskaS-9), da die Agentur uns keine Login-Daten mehr zur Verfügung stellen konnte. Wir haben schon länger bei Arbeiten in WordPress immer wieder Fehlermeldungen durch WPML ausgelöst, daher möchten wir das Problem durch die Aktualisierung des Plugins beheben. Nun stellt sich die Frage, ob wir auf WordPress selbst noch einen Installationsvorgang vornehmen müssen, obwohl WPML bereits aktiviert ist (Lizenz gekauft unter neuen Zugangsdaten) - oder ob man hier etwas verknüpfen kann? Marcel Unterstützer Sprachen: Englisch (English ) Spanisch (Español ) Deutsch (Deutsch ) Zeitzone: Europe/Madrid (GMT+02:00)	Hallo Franziska, bevor Ihr Ticket einem meiner Kollegen zugewiesen wird, erlauben Sie mir bitte, Sie durch einige erste Schritte zur Fehlersuche zu führen. #1 Sie können unter https://wpml.org/de/account/websites/ nun mit Ihrem Konto einen neuen Key ausstellen. #2 Löschen Sie dann den aktuellen Key auf der Installation wie hier beschrieben: https://wpml.org/faq/install-wpml/#unregister #3 Es erscheint dann ein Eingabefeld, wo Sie den neuen Key hinterlegen können. Dann können Sie einfach das Update dort im Installer durchführen. Freundliche Grüße Marcel

franziskaS-9	Hallo Marcel, danke für die schnelle Antwort! Das sieht nach einer Lösung für unser Problem aus. Wie ist es denn mit den getroffenen Einstellungen des Plugins über den alten Key - WPML wird ja seit 2019 auf der Website genutzt. Kann ich mit dem Entfernen des alten Keys irgendetwas kaputt machen?

franziskaS-9	Hi Prosenjit, Thank you for your quick help. I currently still have some concerns about inserting the new license key because we have the following problem: We are still using wordpress version 5.9.8 because we have problems with our theme on newer wordpress versions. I'm afraid that if the WPML automatically update with the new license, there may be problems here interacting with the outdated wordpress version. Is it correct that the WPML applications update automatically or do I have the possibility to check in advance if the versions work together and are compatible? We always try to keep our plugin compatible with the most recent version of WordPress. Therefore, if you're using the latest version of WPML with an outdated version of WordPress, you might experience some problems. If auto-update is enabled for the WPML plugin, then the plugin will be updated automatically as soon as an update is available for you. If you don't want to auto-update the plugin, then you can disable the auto-update by following this article: versteckter Link To determine whether the WPML version is compatible with your site, you can set up a staging or testing site from your main site. After setting up the test site, install the WPML plugin and assess its functionality and compatibility. I hope you can understand. If there is anything else you need help, please let me know.
