Dieses Thema ist gelöst. Hier finden Sie eine Beschreibung des Problems und der Lösung.

Problem:
The client is using Elementor as a Pagebuilder on their website and has encountered an issue where manually removing a content element from a translated page does not reflect the same change on the original English base page.

Solution:
We explained that this is expected behavior. WPML allows for localized content management, enabling each language version of the site to have content tailored specifically to that language's audience. Therefore, when a content element is manually removed from a translation, it does not automatically remove the corresponding element from the base language page. This design provides the flexibility to customize content for each language independently.

If this solution does not apply to your situation, or if it seems outdated, we recommend opening a new support ticket. We also highly recommend checking related known issues, verifying the version of the permanent fix, and confirming that you have installed the latest versions of themes and plugins. Hi,
i run scylla.com with Elementor as Pagebuilder.

When i translate a word in one page or change the content, the translation is not carried to the translated page.

Hello,

Thank you for getting in touch with us. I don't know if I fully understood your issue. Can you please give me concrete examples and share a more detailed explanation of what happens? Please share the exact steps you took and what was your desired result.

Here's some information that might be useful:

1. If you are not using automatic translation, you have to manually translate your content language by language;
2. If you are using automatic translation, you have to check on WPML > Translation and on WPML > Translation Manager the status of your translations after changing the original content;
3. Manually adjusting a translation won't change other translations or your original content;

Tell me if that helps.

Imagine the following case:

1) English Basepage created
2) German Translation Page created and translated
3) then i go into the german translation page and manually remove a content element
this is not reflected on the english page then. (Content element still exists on english basepage)

Is this expected behaviour?

Hello,

Yes, this is actually expected behavior. To give you some context of why this happens, WPML is designed for managing localized content across different languages, allowing each language version of your site to have content that is tailored specifically to that language audience. When you manually remove a content element from the German translation page, it does not automatically remove the corresponding element from the English base page.

This feature allows you the flexibility to customize content for each language independently.
