I'll answer teh ticket in english because there's currently no supporter available for the german language.

the solution from the ticket is actually a solution from 2020 which means that is kind of expected that is already outdated.

However if the original code from layerslider that was mentioned in the ticket is exactly the same even with the latest version of layerslider, then the code shouldn't have broken the site.

Would you be able to enable the debug log (instructions below) and send me the log so i can try to check what the problem is?

I'd also suggest that you contact the layerslider supporters and ask them about this because if the links are not translatable since 2020, then it means it's a feature they might want to consider.

I unfortunately can't tell you that at the moment.

If the old code mentioned on that ticket is still there and hasn't been moved to another file or changed whatsoever, then the code should work, yes, since that code only intercepts the link and makes it translatable.

Try to make the changes afterwards once you have added those lines to your wp-config.php file and then go to your installation's wp-content folder and find the "debug.log" file that should've appeared by now if the site crashed or showed signs of any issues (it will appear if it enocunters an error in your server).
