Problem:
After installing WooCommerce, the client's site stopped working due to incorrect '/it/' in rewrite rules, with the language code for the default language activated. Saving entities in WooCommerce caused the site to stop working due to .htaccess issues.
Solution:
We recommend checking the Home URL setting in your WordPress admin. Go to wp-admin > Settings > General and ensure to remove '/it' from the end of the Home URL. After adjusting the Home URL, navigate to wp-admin > Settings > Permalink and click 'Save' at the bottom of the page to flush the .htaccess file and rewrite rules. This action should resolve the issue.
