Hintergrund des Themas:
I translated a string "Roll" to "Roll" in all languages on my site versteckter Link using WPML.
Die Symptome:
The string "Roll" is still translated to the individual language (e.g., 'rouleau' in French) instead of remaining as 'Roll' in all languages.
Fragen:
How can I make sure that my string translation works?
Since your website is password protected, and you haven't provided us with any actual examples, I'll provide a general explanation of what might be happening and how you can fix it.
The WPML String Translation tool lets you translate texts outside posts, pages, and taxonomy, such as the site’s tagline, admin screen texts, and widget titles. So, if the word "Roll" actually belongs to a post/page/product etc, it must be fixed with one of the two options:
1. Manually edit all the translations that contain the word. To do that, you can visit your pages/posts tab and click on the pencil icon to edit a translation. There, you must find the word "Roll" and adjust its translation;
Hello, ah thank you for the clarification. But now I still have an ambiguity: I have set that ‘Deutschland’ should always remain “Deutschland” and should not be translated into ‘France’, for example. Nevertheless, the French page still says France. I have also pressed refresh in the Gloassar. Any idea?
If this is an isolated case, please make a small change on the original page and save. After that, update the translation and save it.
If that doesn't fix it, please send me the following information:
1. A screenshot of the Glossary, where I can see the term for Deutschland;
2. A screenshot of a page (front end), where this term Deutschland shows;
3. A screenshot of the translation editor, where the term Deutschland shows;
This way I can have a better grasp of what's happening.
It's strange because I no longer see the word in the glossary. ‘D’ is highlighted, but you can't see an entry there. When I try to enter ‘Deutschland’, I get the message that the word already exists.
I have made changes to the page, but nothing has changed.
I also have another question: I have made changes to the footer via the page builder, but it is not being transferred to the translations.
Thank you and best regards

As for the Glossary issue, I would like to look at this directly on your site. For this I would need temporary access (WP-Admin and FTP) to your site, preferably to a test/staging site where the problem has been replicated if possible.
The required fields can be found below the comments section. The information you enter is private, i.e. only you and I can see it and have access to it.
I may need to replicate your website locally. To do this, I need to temporarily install a plugin called "Duplicator" or "All in One WP Migration" on your website. This will allow me to create a copy of your website and content. Once the issue is resolved, I will delete the local website. Let me know if this works for you.
IMPORTANT
Please make a backup copy of the site files and database before giving us access.
- If you do not see the wp-admin/FTP fields, this means your post and site login details are being made PUBLIC. DO NOT post your website details if you do not see the required wp-admin/FTP fields. If you do not, ask me to enable the private box. The private box looks like this:
Thank you. I've escalated your ticker to 2nd tier and will get back to you as soon as I have feedback from them. That usually takes a few days. Thank you.
I have seen that you have installed the All-in-One WP Migration plugin. Am I right that they have duplicated the site? I have to continue tu work on the site in a moment ...
