thanks for the access! I finished translating the homepage by clicking "Save" in the editor—after that, the gear-wheel icon switched to the pencil icon, indicating the change was saved. However, when I tried to open the English version at versteckter Link, it returned a 404 error.
In the backend, I discovered that the EN page was deleted in the meantime, because the system shows:

Hello, thanks for checking in. I've restored all the deleted pages in both languages, and recreated a translation for the home page. Unfortunately, it still returns 404 error
The translation isn’t being saved properly—after refreshing the page, the content disappears again.
Could you please first complete the pending task from the Polylang migration?
It might be affecting the current behavior.
Polylang used to redirect traffic from <em><u>versteckter Link</u></em> to <em><u>versteckter Link</u></em> but WPML isn't doing this. If you have incoming links to <em><u>versteckter Link</u></em>, you should redirect this traffic to your site's root. To do this, add the following line to your .htaccess file:
RedirectMatch 301 /de/$ <em><u>versteckter Link</u></em>
This redirect issue might be interfering here. I already tried fixing the page creation using our troubleshooting tools, but the issue reappeared.

I was able to reproduce the issue earlier, but interestingly, when I repeated the troubleshooting steps via /wp-admin/admin.php?page=sitepress-multilingual-cms%2Fmenu%2Fsupport.php, everything worked correctly on my local environment. I’ve just repeated the exact same steps on your website, and it now appears to be working as expected: versteckter Link.
These are the steps I ran (same as before I asked for access):
- Clear the Cache in WPML

- Fix WPML table collation
