Produkt Slug Translation is not working

Problem:
The client wants to translate the slugs for a product from German to English, but the translated slug does not appear as expected. Instead of translating to 'product', it remains 'produkt'.
Solution:
We recommend creating a parent category with the same slug and assigning it to the products. After setting the custom permalink structure to the product category, you can translate the category slug in WPML > Taxonomy Translation. For more details, check this forum post.

Unfortunately, it is not possible to translate the custom strings added manually to the custom structure permalink. As a workaround, you can create a parent category with the same slug and assign it to the products. After you set the custom permalink structure as product category, you'll be able to translate the category slug in WPML > Taxonomy Translation.
