We are really happy to serve over 400,000 websites that use WPML. But, today we want to take a step back to discover how we can improve our documentation from a user’s perspective.
Please help us by answering a short survey of 5 questions, covering WPML’s documentation.
With your feedback we can improve the WPML documentation and make configuration and customization a faster and easier process.
Thank you from the WPML team!
Hello WPML team!
we are struggling with some of the translation options.
it already worked with some pages in the usual way by duplicating a german page to create an english one and we exchanged the german text with the english version.
when the website is loaded we can usually switch languages by moving the cursor on the flag.
but it occurs that on some german pages the flag only appears as a square (next to “Leistungen”.

it is still possible to change the language to the english version but unfortunately changing it back to the german version doesn’t work.
can you help us to fix this?
best regards, look zoom

Hi, cannot find a list of the 40 translations your plugin supports
My customer was needing to know.
Thanks
Kevin
Hi Kevin,
When you install WPML, you get over 60 pre-configured languages, ready to use.
http://wpml.org/documentation/getting-started-guide/language-setup/pre-configured-languages/
But You can edit this table (via WPML’s GUI) to add your own custom languages:
http://wpml.org/documentation/support/editing-wpmls-languages-table/
But please note WPML doesn’t translate your contents automatically. WPML provides you an interface allowing to translate all your WordPress elements: posts, pages, menus, tags, categories, custom post types, custom fields, different strings etc. So WPML makes you WordPress site multilingual but doesn’t translate your contents. To translate your texts you have to possibilities:
1. To provide the translations yourself
2. To send a post/page to our professional translators from ICanLocalize service. This is integrated with WPML so you can do this directly from your WordPress admin and you also receive it directly to your WordPress.
Here you will see a video how it works:

i cant use wpml on it pls give me suggestion about it
Hi there, what do you mean by ‘on it’? I will be happy to help you but need more info from you. Thanks.
I need some help regarding the wpml plugin .
My web developer , while preparing my new website, he inserted 29 languages .
But within these languages russian , tuskish and chinese were not included . Now i need to install these 3 languages , but unfortunately i can not add them manually .
What do i need to do in order to add these 3 languages without deleting the wpml plugin and install it from scratch . Ofcourse i can not uninstall it , for the reason , i have already add 4 languages in my website .
Your help and your suggestions would be highly appreciated.
With kind regards
Ioannis
