We’re ready with another (probably final) version of WPML 3.1.8. This update resolves a few last issues and is our release candidate.
What’s done from beta1 to beta2:
- Fix: In quick edit mode tags are now properly added
- Fix: (WCML) product attributes translationshave no effect or throw an error
- Fix: Show Popular (Choose from the most used tags) feature of Post edit screen now shows only the currently selected language tags
- Fix: get_terms() now returns terms from the current language
- Fix: The “Copy from” button, the the Translation Editor, now works for non default WYSIWYG fields (e.g. fields created by WP-Types)
- Fix: fixed dependency with underscore.js
- Fix: adding new categories by pressing the enter key now works
- Fix: fixed issue which was providing archive translated links for custom post types which are set to be not translatable
- Fix: fixed empty permalink when saving or editing the root page
- Compatibility: added support for plugins that set medias to go to trash before deleting them
- Compatibility: added support for mime types separated by comma (e.g. audio, video)
- Performance: improve performances when querying for translated elements
To download this beta2, go to your WPML.org account and click on Downloads. The beta package is at the bottom of the downloads page.
We are at the final stages of testing. If you use this beta and find anything, please let us know and we’ll handle it quickly.
About woocommerce it’s impossible to set corresponding pages for CART, CHECKOUT etc for each language enabled.
Thanks

Is this related to WPML 3.1.8, or something that you’ve had from before? I want to make sure that I understand the issue you’re describing. Is there a forum thread about it, which shows what you’re expecting to see, what you’re doing and what happens instead?
Thanks!
3.1.8 -> 3.1.8. b1 and also 3.1.8. b2 woocommerce support service says that is an issue of WPML
I want to help, but I need more info to work on this. Can you please point me to a forum thread where I can read the full description of the problem? I need to see what you want to achieve, what you are doing and what you are seeing. This will help us understand the problem and resolve it.
you can ask to Bruno or to kenF-2.. they know..
I can send the link for the ticket in private.. not here because there are sensitive details
Sure. I’m asking Bruno. It’s night for him now, so Bruno will only see my email in a few hours from now.
Hi, have some problem with update 2.2 of woocommerce, have talked about this update in the forum? thanks
Hi,
Does this resolve the item mentioned in the previous blog post http://wpml.org/2014/09/wpml-3-1-8-b1/
about :
When creating or editing the root page (language in directories and root page without a language), it’s permalink could not be displayed at all, or it could show the wrong url in some cases
thanks
Craig, the last beta resolves in part the permalink issues with the root page, and the final version (which will be released soon) will fixes some cosmetic glitches on the same topic.
Thanks.. I’ll wait for the new release to give it a go.
Cheers
When do you believe 3.1.8 will finally be released?
Hi,
I encounter troubles installing this beta plugin in WP4.0. The error I get after uploading the new plugin is:
Unpacking the package…
Installing the plugin…
Warning: Invalid argument supplied for foreach() in /home/mydomain.com/public_html/wp-admin/includes/class-wp-upgrader.php on line 711
The package could not be installed. No valid plugins were found.
Plugin install failed.

How to solve this please?
Hi!
Unfortunately the error you’re getting seems to be missing some additional details.
Is it really the only thing you are getting when you try to install the package?
Or do you get some other lines? They would help us a lot to find the actual cause of it.
Thanks.
