Our plugin previously called WooCommerce Multilingual & Multicurrency now has a new name: WPML Multilingual & Multicurrency for WooCommerce.

This change comes after a request from WordPress.org regarding WooCommerce trademark rules. We respect these rules fully and have updated the plugin’s name accordingly.

What This Means

Aside from the new name, nothing changes:

  • The plugin works exactly as before
  • All features and functionality remain the same

In the WordPress admin, the screen under WooCommerce that was previously called WooCommerce Multilingual & Multicurrency is now called WPML Multilingual & Multicurrency for WooCommerce.

Renamed WPML admin screen under the WooCommerce section

When You’ll See the Update

We just released version 5.5.2.1, which updates the plugin name.

This version is being rolled out in batches. Once it becomes available on your site, you’ll see the new name in your plugins list and admin menu. As there are no other changes in this version, you don’t need to do anything.

Keep Using the Plugin as Usual

No action is required on your part and you can continue using the plugin as always.

If you have any questions just leave us a comment below and we’ll reply.

    • Hi Frank, I’m really sorry to hear about this. Can you please tell me a bit more about what happened? Which version of WooCommerce Multilingual did you have on the site before updating? Did you create a ticket in our support forum? That would probably be the best thing right now so our team can take a quick look and resolve this for you.
