Overview of the issue

We have found an issue that impacts the String auto registration when using Caching Plugins and WPML.

Some caching plugins are caching front-end HTML on pages, and in those cases, updating to WPML 4.7 versions might result in missing translated strings on the front end.

Workaround

  • Enable the ‘Clean page cache’ option in your Caching plugin – this is usually a button you can click in the Caching Plugin cache.
  • Disable the caching plugin while auto-registering the strings with WPML and then enable it again.
