Problem: The client was experiencing issues with PDF files appearing in the wrong language search results on their multilingual website. They were using Ivory Search to limit search results by language and had uploaded PDFs for specific languages. However, PDFs uploaded for one language were appearing in search results for other languages. Additionally, they were unsure about the best practices for uploading media so that it only appears in the search results for the corresponding language.
We also explained that the search functionality is handled by the theme/plugin and should automatically filter content by language in almost all cases. Make sure that all pages containing the documents are correctly translated and that the PDFs are linked correctly according to the language.
Lastly upload media in the correct language section of the media library (by using the WordPress topbar language switcher) and checking the WPML > Settings > Media translation(plugin) to ensure that media files are not duplicated but translated. Problem: The client updated the English version of a footer inside a reusable block by adding a new link called "Impressum" but it did not propagate to other languages. Additionally, the client removed a location from a page which also did not update in other languages. Lastly, the client needed to add an extra link only in the German version of a page.
Solution:
1. Navigate to WPML > Translation Management and search for the reusable block by its name.
2. Follow the instructions in our guide to translate it: Translating pages, posts, and custom post types.
3. After translating, if the link "Impressum" still isn't translated, go to WPML > Settings > Translate Link Targets and wait for the process to finish.
If the link was added internally and is not appearing in the translation editor, you can search for it there. If WPML detects it as an internal link, it should translate automatically once you update the translation via WPML > Translation Management.
For adding a link visible only in the German language, you need to localize the page by adding an empty link at the end of the paragraph:

Then, use the translation editor to add the URL, making the link visible only in German.
Problem: My links, translated in the advanced translation editors are reverting to the original ones and losing its translations.
Solution: This problem has been solved already, you don't have to do anything more than re-send your page to translate via WPML > Translation Management
Problem: The client's privacy policy page content is not displaying for translations in the Advanced Translation Editor (ATE). The page was created using WP Bakery Page Builder. Solution: We recommend deleting the current text module on the privacy policy page, adding a new one, and then saving the page. This action should make the strings appear correctly in the translation editor. If this solution does not seem relevant to your issue, please open a new support ticket with us for further assistance.
Problem: The client is experiencing an issue where WPBakery icon box titles are not displaying in German after translation, only in English when switching to the German version of the site.
