Problem: The client is experiencing a significant word count discrepancy when translating a page into Italian using WPML with Elementor Pro. Despite the page appearing fully translated, WPML shows a need to translate 685 words for Italian, compared to only 6 for other languages. Solution: Clear any stuck translation jobs: Navigate to WPML → Support → Troubleshooting and click the Cancel in-progress automatic jobs button. For French, look for the button labeled Annuler les tâches automatiques en cours.
If these steps do not resolve the issue, it's possible that the solution might be outdated or not applicable to your specific case. We highly recommend checking related known issues at https://wpml.org/known-issues/, verifying the version of the permanent fix, and confirming that you have installed the latest versions of themes and plugins. If the problem persists, please open a new support ticket at WPML support forum.
Problem: The client updated internal links and content in posts, resulting in up to 50% of segments showing an orange bar and being untranslated or needing re-approval. This issue did not occur previously and was suspected to be related to recent server issues. Solution: The issue was due to the site not being properly registered and migrated between different environments (WPML test site, staging site, and production site). The site was moved, creating a new entry instead of copying the existing translation memory. We resolved this by manually merging the translation memory of all site organizations into the current one. The client should now cancel any affected 'In Progress' jobs at WPML > Translation Dashboard > Jobs, and create new jobs for the affected contents at WPML > Translation Dashboard. Assign the translations to yourself and access them at WPML > Translations. We have already applied this solution to the 'Best of Nightlife and Bars in La Spezia' and confirmed a 100% completed translation on ATE. Please verify if the issue is resolved by creating new translation jobs, as changes might not be visible on jobs currently in progress.

Problem: The client is unable to activate automatic translation with WPML because the plugin continuously shows a 'Loading elements' message and errors related to connectivity issues. Solution: First, we recommend checking if the issue was a temporary connectivity problem. If the problem persists, it's important to note that the client is using Divi 5, which is not fully compatible with their version of WPML. We advise installing the latest versions of WPML Multilingual CMS and WPML String Translation, which include compatibility updates for Divi 5. Always ensure to back up the entire site, including the database, before updating.
If the issue was related to our translation server, it should no longer occur as our ATE team has identified it as a temporary server issue.
If this solution does not resolve the issue or seems irrelevant due to being outdated or not applicable to your case, we highly recommend checking related known issues at https://wpml.org/known-issues/, verifying the version of the permanent fix, and confirming that you have installed the latest versions of themes and plugins.

Problem: The client changed their domain from eclipsemining.com to eclipsedatainnovations.com and encountered issues with WPML asking for a migration code from the old domain, which they no longer have access to. Additionally, after following initial steps for re-registration, WPML still detected a change in the site’s URL and required further actions.
Solution: 1. Manage Site Keys in Your WPML Account * Log in to your WPML account at https://wpml.org/account/sites/. * Delete the site key associated with the old domain and add a new site for the new domain to generate a new site key.
2. Unregister and Re-register WPML on Your New Blog Site * Log in to your WordPress admin dashboard. * Navigate to Plugins → Add New Plugin, click on the Commercial tab. * Unregister the old site and register the new site using the new site key.
3. Acknowledge Site Movement * Confirm the site has been moved when prompted by WPML.
4. Update Old Domain References * Use a plugin like Better Search Replace to update all database references from the old domain to the new one.
If you still encounter issues after these steps, such as WPML detecting a change in your site’s URL, click on "No/I changed the address of the site to this new one" and then "No/You will need to assign credits or set up a pay-as-you-go plan for this site to use automatic translation". If the problem persists, you may also try selecting "I just logged in from a secondary domain".

Problem: You are using the Gumlet service to embed a video link on a page with the Divi builder. The video displays correctly in the default language but not in the English version. After translating the page, the video shows just an empty block. This issue might be related to WPML adding comment tags in the translation editor, which could be disrupting the video display. Solution: First, ensure that the code for the video embed does not contain unnecessary extra spaces or line breaks. Proper formatting is crucial as shown in the example from W3Schools. Next, avoid translating the code via the WPML editor as it can break the code upon saving the translation. Instead, update the content in the default language and resend it for translation. We have addressed this issue on our side, so please make sure to update your WPML plugins and check if the problem persists.

Problem: The client was experiencing an issue where words were merging together in translated pages using WPML with Elementor Text Editor. The problem persisted even after manual corrections and reappeared with changes in the base language. Solution: We initially suggested the client to make a small change to the default language page and resend it for translation to see if the issue persists. After reproducing the issue on a test site, it was escalated to our second-tier support. The problem was identified to be related to nested tags and specific translation engines like DEEPL. We recommended avoiding nested tags or manually adjusting the text in the WPML editor until a permanent fix was released. Eventually, the issue was resolved on our side, and we confirmed that automatic translation no longer removes white spaces between words. The client was advised to update the content in the default language and resend it for translation.
