[Résolu] TUTOR LMS / WPML - bug displaying lessons in different languages
Ce sujet est résolu. Voici une description du problème et de la solution.
Problem: The client is experiencing issues with courses on Tutor LMS displaying different information in different languages and wants them to be the same across all languages. Solution: First, we suggested that if the client wants the content to be the same in all languages, they should either duplicate the content from the original to secondary languages or use the option to 'Translate or Fallback to Default' found in WPML -> Settings -> Post Types, and then not translate the courses. Additionally, we noted that some content might be coming from String Translation. If the client does not want those strings translated, they should edit the string and copy the original string into the translation field for those particular strings. Upon further investigation with the provided access, we found that the module is not a Custom Post Type (CPT) in itself but contains different types of CPTs such as lessons, meetings, assignments, etc. We advised the client to set the translation preferences for all those CPTs to 'Translatable - use translation if available or fallback to default language'.
Please note that this solution might be irrelevant if it's outdated or not applicable to your case. If the issue persists, we highly recommend checking related known issues at https://wpml.org/known-issues/, verifying the version of the permanent fix, and confirming that you have installed the latest versions of themes and plugins. Hello,
We have trouble dealing with the languages of the courses on Tutor LMS.
The courses is displaying different information in different languagues, as you can see on the different screenshot but I would like it to be the same in all languages.
Can you tell us what is wrong with the settings? Thank you
Thank you for contacting WPML support. While you are waiting for one of my colleagues to take this ticket and work on it, let me provide you with first debugging steps or if I can perhaps help with the issue quickly.
Are you translating the courses? If you want the content to be the same in all languages, the best option is to either duplicate the content from original to secondary, or use the option to Translate or Fallback to Default (in WPML -> Settings -> Post Types) and then simply do not translate the courses.
In addition, some of the content looks like it may be coming from String Translation. IF you don't want those strings translated, you can edit the string and copy the original string into the translation field for those particular strings.
Please let us know if this resolves the issue or part of it, and if not, we will be happy to further troubleshoot.
Thank you Lauren for all the advise...
So that's what we want, to have the same content on all different languages. the option "Translate or Fallback to Default (in WPML -> Settings -> Post Types)" was selected ...
So how can we delete the translations which seem to have been created as you can see on the screenshot...and make sure that the course will be the same on both languages...
thank you for your help!
Hello again Lauren,
While I'm investigating the different versions of the duplicate pages:
1/ do you know what the differences between these three pages(see screenshots)?
- original page in english
- french
- spanish
So I can try to understand what happened?
2/ Also, can you let me know whats the consequences would be on the different student datas if I delete the duplicate pages?
3/ last question, regarding the creation of the product while creating a course, how does it work when we duplicate a course? dos a new product is created also? or it's only one product in the database? (see screenshot for the product)
Thank you for your help!

Hello,
From the screenshot you sent I can see that you duplicated the courses in French and Spanish.
1. If you want to keep the duplication, please deactivate our editor (Right above your duplication you have "WPML editor" in black, select "WordPress editor" instead.
2. If you want to delete them, then go to the "Courses" and use the flag in your top admin bar to switch to French.
- Find this specific course and trash it
- Go to the trash and empty it (or click "delete permanently")
- Repeat the operation for Spanish
Good morning Nicolas,
Thank you so much for your help. We deleted the courses as advised, but I still have trouble with two courses, which should be the same in both languages, but some content are missing as you can see on the screenshot.
I put the url for you to check : lien caché
I don't understand where it comes from. Could it be linked to my settings? (I put a screenshot).
Thank you for your help!

Hi,
At this stage, could you please provide me with a temporary admin access – preferably to a test site where the issue has been replicated – so I can further investigate. I will activate a private field for your next answer where you can provide that information safely (this field is only visible by you and the support team). Don't share your own admin account, create a new one that you will delete when we finish troubleshooting.
IMPORTANT: Before we proceed, please backup your site and database.

Hi,
Thanks for the access. It helped me understand that the module is not a Custom Post Type (CPT) in itself. That's a element that can contain different types of CPT: lessons, meetings, assignements etc...
You need to set the translation preferences for all those CPTs also to "Translatable - use translation if available or fallback to default language"
Sorry Nicolas, I've got a last question...
I tried to do it myself, but I can't find the solution.
I've send messages to the Themeum team, to solve it, but their only response was
"Presently WPML is not properly integrated with Tutor LMS and because of the compatibility, this file not found problem is showing. "
Keeping one issue by forum threat helps to keep the forum clean and organized, it will also help other users with similar problems to find solutions when searching the forum.
Thanks for your understanding.
