Just for information, In some products I would need the URL be updated also with same as tittle. This is possible with the default config? Translate URL?
Thank you for contacting WPML Support. If you want full manual control to the slugs then choose “Translate (this will include the slug in the translation and not create it automatically from the title)” option and the slug field appears in ATE.
If you want it to follow the translated title automatically then choose the “Auto-generate from title (default)” option.
Hola,
Ahora necesito cambiar los H1 tittle del idioma principal (inglés) necesito que al traducir masivamente ATE. Las urls de las traducciones NO cambien. Se mantengan iguales.
This is Christopher taking over the ticket as Noman is on vacation.
The H1 title has nothing to do with the Page URL. The page URL is generated by WordPress as a slug.
As mentioned before by my colleague, you have a choice to expose that slug for translation in the Advanced Translation Editor, or you can use the Auto option and let WPML do the job.
You can find the option from WordPress Dashboard > WPML > Settings > Translated documents options > Page URL.
For a description of each option, you can check the documentation below:
Finally, after selecting an option, to make sure it will take into effect you need to do as follows:
- Go to your Dashboard > Pages.
- Open the edit screen of the original page. You should see a pencil/circle/gear icon in the sidebar options under the "Languages" section.
- Make a small change, for example, add an extra blank space at the end of a sentence/paragraph.
- Save it.
- You should now see that a circular arrow appears beside the 2nd languages links, this means that an update is required.
- Edit the translation again and save it up to 100% translated.
Thanks.
