Este hilo está resuelto. Aquí tienes una descripción del problema y la solución.

Problem:
You are trying to translate Custom Post Types (CPT) but only the taxonomies appear in the WPML translation editor, not the meta boxes you need to translate.
Solution:
First, ensure that your CPT and taxonomies are set as translatable. Then, navigate to WPML > Settings and find the section titled Custom fields translation. Here, you can set each custom field to either 'Copy' or 'Translate'.

To easily identify the correct fields:
1. Check the box labeled Show "Multilingual Content Setup" meta box on post edit screen at the top of the Custom fields translation section.
2. Click on Save.
3. Edit one of the posts in the original language and scroll to the bottom to find the new section Multilingual Content Setup. This will display all fields used by that post, helping you identify which fields to translate.

After configuring the fields, you can deactivate the 'Show "Multilingual Content Setup"' option in the WPML > Settings > Custom fields translation section.

I'm trying to translate some Custom Post Types. I followed the guide provided by Crocoblock (enlace oculto).

I have a CPT called "Ideal Apps". This CPT has 5 meta boxes. short description, long description, price, rating... And I have some taxonimies asociated with this CPT.

The problem is that when I try to translate a post, then the only thing that the WPML translation editor shows me is the taxonomies (which I don't want to translate here, I want to translate them in the taxonomies translation menu). But the meta boxes that I need to translate, are missing.

I have followed the guide and i set the CPT as translatable, and also the taxonomies. What am I missing?

Thank you

Hello,

Welcome to the WPML support forum.

In "WPML > Settings" you also have a section "Custom fields translation" that will allow you to decide if a custom field should be "Copied" or "Translated".

- Copy: you want to keep the same value in the translation (for example price)
- Translate: the value will be translated while translating the post

You may have a lot of fields and finding the correct ones can be tricky so here is a tip:
- At the top of that "Custom fields translation" section you have a checkbox "Show "Multilingual Content Setup" meta box on post edit screen."
- Activate it and click on "Save" (below the table)
- Now go back to edit one of those posts in the original language
- Scroll down at the bottom of the page, you will find a new section "Multilingual Content Setup" where you will see all fields used by that post. That should help you identify your fields.

Once you're done you can go back to "WPML > Settings > Custom fields translation" and deactivate that option.

Hi,

Thank you, that information helped me to find the custom fields. I had to click in the "Show system fields" in one of the post pages to see and edit them.

Thanks,
David.
