Thank you, but what does “compatibilty with Visual Composer” mean? Does it mean, that there are no errors when using this plugin, or are there functions to translate Visual composer elements like Amir said one year ago:
https://wpml.org/forums/topic/visual-composer-not-available-for-translator/
Amir: “We are working on a new translation API, which will allow other plugins to register their strings for translation. Then, plugins like Visual Composer will be able to register texts that they produce. You will translate these texts as separate entities in WPML’s Translation Dashboard.”
Is this the new Translation Basket feature coming in Version 3.2? When will version 3.2 be released?
Hi Stephen,
At the moment it means that we have tested thoroughly Visual Composer plugin, have fixed a few issues and now it is fully compatible with WPML, following the standard procedure for these kind of plugins, as described here – https://wpml.org/2014/06/use-visual-composers-page-builders-wpml/. What Amir was referring to is a new functionality we have introduced for authors – Package Translation – this allow authors to register strings created dynamically by their plugins. We have actually started integration with Visual Composer, but this is still work in progress as we are all working hard on having WPML 3.2 ready – I can not promise a date, but a lot of effort is being done to have that major version released soon.
