Background of the issue:
I've added a new shortcode for translation into my 'Custom XML Configuration' settings in WPML. The configuration I added is: convertkit form . The shortcode looks like this: [convertkit form=7682931]. I am following the documentation at https://wpml.org/documentation/support/language-configuration-files/translate-custom-shortcodes-with-wpml/.

Symptoms:
The new shortcode is not being picked up by the Advanced translator in WPML, even after clearing the cache and editing the page to force a recheck.

Questions:
Why is the new shortcode not showing up in the Advanced translator?
Is there a step I am missing in the process of adding a new shortcode for translation?
