Reported for: Advanced Custom Fields Multilingual 1.9.4

Resolved in: 1.10.0

Overview of the issue

If you set display rules for an ACF field group to be displayed when the page is a child of another page, the field group shows only when you are creating the new translated page. When you save the translation, leave the edit screen, and then revisit the edit screen again, the field group is not visible.

Workaround

Our developers are working on a permanent fix for ACFML 1.10.0. In the meantime:

  1. Edit the page
  2. Unset parent of this page
  3. Set parent page again

The field group will be displayed correctly.

  1. The workaround is not working for me. The translated page cannot unset parent. I do this for the main lang page bur when I set the parent again, the translated page missing ACF again

  2. My team is having the same issue. Removing the parent allows us to finally save the page but it’s not an ideal solution. Disappointed that such a long-standing bug still exists between two paid plugins – this workaround was posted way back in December 2021. When may we expect a fix?

    • Hello Jason,
This issue should have been solved with ACFML 1.10.0 which was release a few weeks ago.
If you are using our latest version and it does not help, please open a ticket in our support forum as it may be a different case.
