URLs are not displayed in Advanced Translation Editor

Overview of the issue

If you are using Advanced Translation Editor and you send a post containing a link field to the translation, only the link title (anchor text) will be available for translation. The URL will not be visible in the editor.

This is the default and expected behavior of the WPML Advanced Translation Editor. We hide every link so as not to accidentally break the link, especially if you use automatic translation.

Workaround

Links in the WPML Advanced Translation Editor are only hidden, but still available for translation. To see them, type “http” in the search field above the translated content. See our documentation for more on finding and translating URLs with the Advanced Translation Editor.
