Dieses Thema ist gelöst. Hier finden Sie eine Beschreibung des Problems und der Lösung.

Problem:
The client's already translated product description is being overwritten with the source language after editing other elements like the product price.
Solution:
We recommend checking the settings for each page or post where the translation is being overwritten. When translating content manually, there is an option to copy or overwrite the content with the original, which affects how translations behave. For detailed instructions, please refer to the How to Convert a Translation Into a Duplicate section of our documentation. Using this option means that any change in the original content will overwrite the translation.

If this solution does not apply to your situation, or if it seems outdated, we highly recommend checking the related known issues, verifying the version of the permanent fix, and confirming that you have installed the latest versions of themes and plugins. Should you need further assistance, please do not hesitate to open a new support ticket. You can reach our support forum here.

Hello,

the already translated product description is overwritten with the source language after editing e.g. the product price. What can be done about this?

Regards, Stefan

Hey there!

Can you please share how you translated these products? When you duplicate them using “Overwrite with XX content”, manually, the behavior you described is the expected one.

Let me know.

Hello,

This is actually not set globally, but individually in each page or post. When you translate a content manually, you can copy or overwrite the content with the original, which has different impacts on the behavior of the translations.

Please check the “How to Convert a Translation Into a Duplicate” section in this link to get more details. When you use this option, making a change in the original content, overwrites the translation.

Please let me know.
