In order to expedite handling your support requests, you can give to the WPML support team debug information from your site. This information includes general info about the server configuration, installed versions of WordPress, plugins and the theme. None of this information is private and does not include any data that may be used to compromise your site. Additionally, this information is only visible to the support person working on your thread.
The debug information display in WPML has been available since WPML 3.1.7. If you are using earlier versions, you should definitely update WPML and all its components.
To give debug information, login to your site and go to WPML → Support. From there click on the “debug information” link at the bottom of the page:
Once on the “debug information” page, select the entire content of the text box and copy it.
Now go back to our support forum, indicate that you can provide the debug information and paste it.
Type in your reply and post the message. You’re all set. Now the support team can see what you are running and can help you much faster.
The supporter working on your ticket, sees the information that you provided in a nice “readable” way.
There is a section about the server type, WordPress, plugins and theme. The debug information includes all version numbers so that you and the support team save time clarifying all this technical information.
Giving us this debug info helps save you and WPML support time and allows us to give you more accurate support. Thank you for providing it!
