I am trying to:
When using Language name added as a parameter, everything works as expected. But when using A different domain per language I experience some problems:

Works as expected: hidden link
However, the German version fetches the English content: hidden link

Link to a page where the issue can be seen:
hidden link

I expected to see:
The German translation.

Instead, I got:
The English translation.

When activating A different domain per language none of the URL:s (I have prepared nine translation URL:s) will validate. However, next to the German URL there's only a spinning wheel, but no message if it validates or not.

Anyway, I have to uncheck all "Validate on save" boxes in order to test the URL:s.

Hi Tobias,

Thank you for contacting WPML Support.

Could you please check your DNS settings when using this option?

Chapter "Setting up your DNS server" https://wpml.org/2016/04/use-wpml-different-domains-per-language/

Please check this and let me know.

Best Marcel

Hi Tobias,

could you please post a screenshot from your WPML Domain settings and your DNS settings?

To test your DNS settings, you can easily upload a file called test.txt to the root folder of your server. You should be able to access the file with every domain.
Like domain1.com/test.txt, domain2.de/test.txt

Please let me know.

Hi Marcel,
I uploaded a text file as suggested and can confirm that it can be accessed through every domain.

Hi Tobias,

I checked your system and noticed the following:

- Can you please send me the link to the created Test TXT File, that I can see it's accessible from all domains? This is important as it's the simplest way to prove the server settings.

- DNS: It looks like there is still something wrong. If you ping the domains, there are mostly timeouts. Can you please check this with your hosting company?

- HTTP Redirect/ (Virtual Host): As you use Microsoft IIS please check the following doc, as you need to create the alias: https://stackoverflow.com/questions/302968/iis-equivalent-of-virtualhost-in-apache. This virtual host config is necessary to work with WPML.

Please let me know

Hi Marcel,

Active translations at the moment are German and Spanish, and I can reach the test file from the corresponding domains:

hidden link

hidden link

I'll check with our hosting company why the domains cannot be pinged and that the virtual host is setup up properly.

Hi Marcel,

Now, hidden link displays correct language, however the featured images have incorrect paths: the base url is added to the relative media path.

E.g. what should be:
wp-content/uploads//2018/02/60A8197.jpg

becomes:
wizard.wellspect.es/wp-content/uploads//2018/02/60A8197.jpg

Same thing if I go to the Media Library. Any idea why that is?

Still awaiting answer from the hosting company, will let you know.
