This is the technical support forum for WPML - the multilingual WordPress plugin.

Everyone can read, but only WPML clients can post here. WPML team is replying on the forum 6 days per week, 22 hours per day.

This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem:

The plugin translations were not being loaded by WPML so the builtin translations were not being displayed in the website frontend.

Solution:

Since the plugin uses translated mo/po files it was needed to setup WPML to load mo files from WordPress Dashboard > WPML > Theme and plugins localization

Hello,
I have translated string for payments method in GoPay Inline plugin. Even, I have found the video which shows that I translated strings in the right way (video made by the plugin developer: hidden link). As you can see in the attachment, everything seems to be OK, but translation is not showing on frontend. The problem is with English language.

Hello,

Thank you for contacting WPML Support. I would like to request temporary access (wp-admin and FTP) to your site to take better look at the issue. You will find the needed fields for this below the comment area when you log in to leave your next reply. The information you will enter is private which means only you and I can see and have access to it.

Our Debugging Procedures

I will be checking various settings in the backend to see if the issue can be resolved. Although I won't be making changes that affect the live site, it is still good practice to backup the site before providing us access. In the event that we do need to debug the site further, I will duplicate the site and work in a separate, local development environment to avoid affecting the live site.

Privacy and Security Policy

We have strict policies regarding privacy and access to your information. Please see:
https://wpml.org/purchase/support-policy/privacy-and-security-when-providing-debug-information-for-support/

**IMPORTANT**

- Please make a backup of site files and database before providing us access.
- If you do not see the wp-admin/FTP fields this means your post & website login details will be made PUBLIC. DO NOT post your website details unless you see the required wp-admin/FTP fields. If you do not, please ask me to enable the private box. The private box looks like this: hidden link

Please, let me know if you need any additional details. Have a nice day.

Hello again,
I tried to scan and search for new string GoPay Inline again and tried to translate strings another way - add to basket and so on. WPML said that I can find these strings in Translations, but there are No translation jobs found after I submit it in ST, it is quite weird.

Hello,
sorry for the complication, I contacted hosting provider and they told me it is a so-called CMS protection against robotic script attacks that try to break the password into the WordPress administration by brute force.

In order to log in, you must enter: cms as the first username and password. I hope it will work. You are the first one who has this issue.

Let me know, if it works.

Thank you.

Hello,

Thank you for the updates. I took a detailed look in your website and noticed although your plugin has translations for its strings you didn't setup WPML to load these translations. Here is what I checked:

1 - In your WordPress Dashboard > WPML > Theme and plugins localization I chose the option 'Translate themes and plugins using WPML's String Translation and always load .mo files as backup' for your 'Localization options' settings.

See: https://wpml.org/documentation/getting-started-guide/theme-localization/

Please, let me know if you need any further assistance. Have a nice day.

Hello, I have one more question. I translated another string, try to resave everything. And tried this:

1 - In your WordPress Dashboard > WPML > Theme and plugins localization I chose the option 'Translate themes and plugins using WPML's String Translation and always load .mo files as backup' for your 'Localization options' settings.

But nothing happened.

You can see in the attachment.
