Problem:
After updating the taxonomy for several posts and running a translation update using WPML, the client was charged about $15 for translations that were unchanged.
Solution:
We recommend checking the settings for your custom fields in WPML. Here's how you can ensure that your taxonomies are correctly configured:
1. Navigate to WPML → Settings → Custom Fields Translation to adjust the "Copy" setting for custom fields.
2. Set the taxonomies to be translatable.
3. Translate the terms of the taxonomies into your secondary language. You can keep the same name as in the original if you prefer.
4. Once you modify the taxonomy terms in a post and update it, the corresponding translated taxonomies will automatically apply to the translated version of that post.
