  2. Ich brauche bitte eine Antwort. Es geht um die Kompatibilität von WPML mit dem WP Job Manager. Es scheint hier Probleme mit Ajax bei den Übersetungen der Jobs zu geben. Welche Lösung gibt es?

    Ich habe diverse Beiträge gelesen in denen das Thema nicht abschließend beantwortet wird. Und der Plugin Autor von WP Job Manager und Jobify verweisen auf Euch! Bitte gebt mir keine „abspeisende“ Antwort, viele User haben das selbe Problem, und ich habe sogar Threads von vor 5 Jahren mit dem gleichen Problem gefunden, dass kann doch nicht sein dass man dieses Problem in 5 Jahren nicht beheben konnte.

    • Vielen Dank für Ihre Frage, und ich entschuldige mich für meine schwache Deutsch.
      es ist ein Thema, und wir arbeiten daran, würde ich jetzt sagen, es ist nicht zu 100% kompatibel (mit etwas verändert, wie das Plugin und WPML Fang ajax Sprache Info). Wir planen, es innerhalb von zwei Wochen zu beheben.

  3. I need urgently help with compatibility with wp job manager pluginI. there are some errors on job translations because of AJAX. Is there any solution yet?

    I read so many threads without any solution, and it seems to persist since 5 years!!! Jobify and WP Job Manager authors keep telling that issue is on your site. Pls give me an answer and resolve that problem, that i share with a large amount of users. ;-(

      Generally speaking every theme that uses WordPress API runs multilingual with WPML. But currently the themes offered in the WP marker are more and more sophisticated and offer more and more custom options. These to be translated require the presence of so called wpml config file. Some developers can create this file themselves, while for others it is a challenge. This is why we ask theme authors for their help here. When a theme author provides his/her theme with such a file your works is easy – all the theme depended strings will appear in our String translation module.

    I wanna get my page in Russian and Arabic language translated by WPML. I’m concerned about the Arabic translation due to RTL. How does it work with the orthography? Will the points, question mark or exclamation mark, etc. at end of a sentence displayed correctly?

    • Hi Martin, I have just answered your previous question but now I would like to clarify one thing: WPML doesn’t translate your contents automatically.

      WPML provides you an interface allowing to translate all your WordPress elements: posts, pages, menus, tags, categories, custom post types, custom fields, different strings etc. So WPML makes you WordPress site multilingual but doesn’t translate your contents. To translate your texts you have to possibilities:
      1. To provide the translations yourself
      2. To send a post/page to our professional translators from ICanLocalize service. This is integrated with WPML so you can do this directly from your WordPress admin and you also receive it directly to your WordPress.

      So if your contents were translated by professional service there should be no orthography issues.

    Yesterday I purchased a Multilangual CMS license but I only received a confirmation email from PayPal.
    No confirmaton from wpml.org, no link to a download or a user account, nothing.

    Please contact me asap to clear what went wrong with my purchase.

    If i try to recover my password it also do not work.

    I want to use WPML for our Website. Now I try to figure out, which version is the right one for my purpose.

    1. Let´s say I buy the CMS-Version for 79$:
    Does it expire after one year? Does this mean, that my Website is not bilingual any more? Or does it mean, that I do not get support any longer? Whatfor would I pay the 39$ „Account-Verlängerung pro Jahr“?

    2. If I buy the CMS-Version for 79$, can I use it for several websites?

      Thank you for your questions. Your English is very good and definitely better than my German.

      1. After one year you will lost your access to support and will not be able to upgrade. But your site will not stop working. You can still use the version you purchased. Yes, after the first year you can pay 39$ for another year or you can upgrade to LifeTime version.

      2. Yes, you need to buy only one license and you can use it for all the websites your are building for yourself or for your customers.

    ich möchte WPML auf Lebenszeit kaufen und habe eine Frage dazu: Wir sind eine kleine Agentur und erstellen oft Websites für verschiedene Kunden. Wenn wir als Agentur die Lizenz kaufen, können wir WPML dann auf den Websites unserer Kunden nutzen, die wir erstellen?

    ich erstelle im Moment einen Blog. Dazu habe ich mir ein Template gekauft, dass bereits in Englisch ist.
    Ich möchte den Blog Mehrsprachig erstellen, also auch in Deutsch. Welche Version von WPML soll ich nun dazu verwenden. Bin mir unsicher.
    Was heißt Verlängerungs Account? Fallen da weitere Kosten nach einem Jahr an?

    • Hallo, tut mir leid für meine schwachen deutschen vielen Dank für Ihre Frage, und ich.
      Ja, Sie können mit Blog-Version starten. Wenn sich herausstellt, dass es nicht ausreicht, können Sie Ihre Lizenz zur CMS-Version zu erweitern und nur die Differenz. Sie erhalten einen Link in Ihrem Konto WPML dafür zu finden.
      Ja, nach einer Ihrer Ihre Lizenz abläuft, und Sie müssen, sie zu erneuern, wenn Sie in der Lage, Updates zugreifen und fragen Frage im Support-Forum sein wollen. Aber dein Plugin wird nicht aufhören zu arbeiten, auch wenn Sie sie nicht verlängern.
      Wenn Sie lebenslange Lizenz kaufen Sie bezahlen nur einmal und Sie werden in der Lage, WPML ohne weitere Kosten für immer zu verwenden.
      Sie können jederzeit ein Upgrade auf ‚Lifetime‘ von ‚Blog‘ Version als auch.

  16. Hi,
    is it possible to restrict the shop content (the products) to which language the user chooses.
    For example I want product A,B,C be available for all german speaking users but only product A has to be available for english speaking users.
    This is important because some products are digital and for download and some require a delivery but at the moment I don’t support international shipping.
    Is this kind of restriction possible?

      for the time being, no. But we plan to make it possible in the near future. Cannot provide you with the dates yet but this is what our WooCommerce Multilingual developers told me.

    ich habe vor wenigen Tagen Multilingual CMS for life gekauft und verzweifele. Es funktioniert einfach nicht, dass die Plugins in WordPress auf deutsch übersetzt werden oder meine Blogeinträge fehlen. Würde mich sehr über eine gute Anleitung auf Deutsch oder jemand der mir da helfen kann andernfalls möchte ich das Produkt zurückgeben wenn keine Lösung gefunden werden kann

    Please help me to reconfigure my thoughts according to your knowledge:

    If I understand you correctly (your post of November 5, 2014 at 7:50 am), complex themes will need a wpml file. At the same time, since the developer of my complex theme („Social“, by WPMU DEV) did not register in your list, he probably did not create one. That means, it is highly likely that I would fail in translating the complete site? In this case, as a php/html/css 2nd year student, how much time would I need to do good work and get the „Multilingual Ready“ icon 🙂 ?

      Yes, themes which deal with custom strings require this wpml config file. If you are a php developer you can create it yourself or with our support developers‘ help. You will find the instructions here:
      http://wpml.org/documentation/support/language-configuration-files/
      But I cannot assure you in advance it will go smoothly, depends on the complexity of your theme. Getting the Multiligual icon can take even a few weeks – there is a long queue.

      So yes, if without this wpml config file you will be not translate some of your strings. Usually these are strings in sliders, buttons etc, features provided with a specific theme and entered by a user in a ‚theme options‘ screen.

      • At first, thank you for succesfully clarifying my unsorted thoughts about the matters. I found especially interesting to get an impression of how much I may not be able to translate (and that the main things may be working), but also may have help with at some point. Would be a nice possibility to learn more about the structure of WordPress.

        And, sorry, Agnes, I was indeed being unclear about „Es bueno saberlo“:
        – If you go here: http://wpml.org/de/
        – And then click (=hover over) „Kauf“
        – find „Es bueno saberlo“
        -> it is Spanish languaguage, not German.

        Since it is on a German site, only Spanish speaking Germans could understand it, and it is contained twice – the correct german translation is „Gut zu wissen“, but this is also already contained in that menu 🙂

        One last question, so far: All portions of the theme I could not instantly translate (or that would need php debugging etc.) will be visible in the original language (for most people, English, I guess)? To ask differently, the translation plugin will not affect the working of the site, even if it cannot translate things it does not know about or find?

    Question: Can I translate the events from the plugin for Timely, as I can translate the posts etc?

    is it in WPML possible to set the user permissions that a translator can only translate or change content in one single language. I want to prevent that translators change the original content.
    Is there a plugin to do that. Currently I’m using WPFront User Role Editor.

      No, your customers don’t have to pay. You need to buy only one WPML license and you can use it for all the sites you are building.
