Line Breaks from Taxonomy Custom Fields Are Removed Using the Taxonomy Translation Feature

Overview of the issue

When translating taxonomies using the Taxonomy Translation feature, taxonomy custom fields are always translated as single fields and line breaks in “textarea” fields field are not preserved. Instead, the content is displayed in a single line, causing formatting issues.

Workaround

To ensure that line breaks are preserved when translating taxonomies custom fields:

• Use the native taxonomy edit screen for translation. This method retains the formatting of textarea fields, including line breaks.
• Alternatively, when using the Taxonomy Translation screen, manually add "br" tags in the taxonomy custom field to insert line breaks.
